Originally known as 'Just the Words', this is exactly what it says on the tin - the scripts for every single show (minus the two German episodes), plus some amusingly-crude photographs, and an index. There isn't really a way of reviewing this book without straying from the brief and reviewing the show itself, so I'll stop here.For a short while. Actually, reading the scripts you start to spot bits you miss during the programme - and, best of all, you can practice reciting the amazingly-long [insert name here] of Ulm.
All the words. There need be no more said. This is a book full of all the words. All the words that ever mattered (besides, perhaps, some rather important ones, like "romanticism," "noradrenalin," and "trabecula," which, in fact, aren't included in this particular volume, but can be found in many other books). I somehow hope you're not like me, because I usually buy every book written by any of the Monty Pythons. DON'T DO LIKE I DO! It's expensive!Sure, this book is a wonderful read, even if you already know most Monty dialogue by heart. This book will look nice next to your other Monty Python litterature, but know this. This book will most likely not last long, before you put it on the shelf and start watching the episodes again. Buy this book only if you're an insane Monty fan, in which case you probably haven't read any of these reviews anyway.
