Durch eine chronische Krankheit behindert beendete Stridsman sein Studium der Makroökonomie in Uppsala relativ spät. Dann begann er als Wirtschaftsjournalist zu arbeiten und sich mit Vorhersagen über die Entwicklung der verschiedensten Finanzmärkte zu befassen. Daraus und aus ersten missratenen Trading-Versuchen und seiner Liebe zum Pokern entstand wohl das Bedürfnis auf einer systematischen Basis Handelsmodelle zu entwickeln. Dies mündete in dem vorliegenden Buch.Wer sich dieses Buch des Titels wegen kaufen möchte, sollte folgende Voraussetzungen für die Anwendbarkeit des Textes nicht unbeachtet lassen: (1) Man braucht eine TradeStation oder wenigstens die entsprechenden Software-Kenntnisse, denn durchweg alles an nutzbarer Information in diesem Buch ist in TradeStationen-Codes formuliert. (2) Man sollte ein systematischer Trader sein. Das bedeutet: Entweder man verfügt über die Möglichkeit, ein mechanisches Handelssystem zu programmieren und automatisch handeln zu lassen oder man besitzt die für das mechanische Trading unbedingt erforderliche eiserne Disziplin. In beiden Fällen benötigt man hinreichend viel Handelskapital und die Fähigkeit auch lange Perioden mit Verlusten aussitzen zu können.Dieses Buches ist ein Klassiker der Literatur über mechanisches Trading. Es enthält eine Reihe wirklich hervorragender Ideen, die unter den oben genannten Voraussetzungen erwiesenermaßen funktionierenInteressanterweise ist der Autor ein Akademiker in akademischen Diensten. Er verdient sein Geld also keineswegs mit den Systemen, die er entwickelt hat. Andererseits ist er aber ein fanatischer Poker-Spieler. Verstehe das, wer will. Mir ist ehrlich gesagt auch ein Rätsel, warum der Autor sich weigert, seine Resultate einem breiteren Publikum näher zu bringen, das nicht über die Kenntnisse der TradeStation-Codes verfügt.Fazit.Wenn der Autor seine akademische Arroganz aufgegeben und ein für alle verständliches Buch veröffentlicht hätte, wären wegen der wirklich vielen außergewöhnlichen Ideen fünf Sterne mehr als verdient gewesen.

Selten ein Buch ueber Handelssysteme gelesen wie dieses. Klar formuliert, mit vielen detaillierten Systemen versehen - sicher eines meiner top 5 die ich in meinem Leben gelesen habe. Sehr empfehlenswert !!
